What We Believe

While there is no single set of beliefs that all Hindus adhere to, there are some core concepts and principles that are commonly associated with Hinduism.

  • Dharma is the moral and ethical duty that each individual is expected to follow based on their age, caste, gender, and occupation. It guides how a person should live a virtuous life.
  • Karma is the law of cause and effect. It states that one's actions have consequences, and these consequences can affect one's present life and future lives through the cycle of reincarnation.
  • Moksha is the ultimate goal of Hinduism, representing liberation from the cycle of samsara. It is achieved through self-realization, understanding the true nature of the self, and reuniting with the divine.
  • Hinduism has a pantheon of deities, and there is a diverse range of gods and goddesses representing different aspects of the divine. Worship of these deities can be personalized based on individual or regional preferences.
