Practices & Daily Rituals
Essential to support spiritual practice, understanding, and connection at every stage of life.
Notice for In-Office Workers
The specific practice of Harmonism is often seen as mutually disruptive to those in a typical in-person office environment. We strongly encourage you to work with your company's HR department and management to see what telework and remote flexibilities they may offer to support your religious beliefs and devout practice of Harmonism.
Special Notice for Federal Employees of the United States
On July 16, 2025 OPM issued a memorandum stating that regardless of Return to In-Person Work, "agencies are strongly encouraged, where feasible, to consider telework as a reasonable accommodation for religious practices." We recommend reaching out to your Reasonable Accommodation office to see if an RA for Religious Accommodation is right for you.
Chord of Existence
You should work with your physician, coach, or trainer under advisement from your Guide to develop an effective Harmonism-focused program for two key rituals, each performed three times per week. It can be performed at any time of the day that provides optimal results by the practitioner.
Days 1, 3, and 5 - The Crescendo
To honor the Sacred Self and fortify the structural integrity of our primary vessel, we engage in the intentional movement of The Crescendo. In this practice, we deliberately introduce acute physical tension and progressive resistance, pushing against the gravity of the material world to awaken and strengthen our physical form. Each focused exertion is an act of active transformation, a rhythmic building of capacity that expands our internal drive and prepares the body to bear heavier life callings. By leaning mindfully into this temporary stress, we do not exhaust our energy, but rather elevate the baseline frequency of our muscles and bones, ensuring we can stand firm and unyielding against the chaotic weight of a fracturing world.
Days 2, 4, and 6 - The Sustain
Complementing our strength, we cultivate endurance to complete our lifetime journeys through The Sustain. In this ritual, we bring the vessel into a steady, intentional pace, establishing an efficient cardiovascular frequency that can be maintained smoothly without hitting a wall or collapsing into exhaustion. Whether moving swiftly under the open horizon or tracking a persistent path through space, we oxygenate our consciousness and protect our personal sustainability. This prolonged, mindful presence severs us from algorithmic stimulation and digital noise, resetting our internal rhythms and returning the self to a state of harmonious pacing with the wider Cosmos.

Chord of Ethics
Work Days
World Acknowledgement
Every 20 minutes while working we pause to acknowledge the world and journey of others. In the dutiful practice of the World Acknowledgement, we demonstrate discipline and accountability for ourselves, while simultaneously showing respect and support for humanity, the Earth, and the Cosmos. To perform the World Acknowledgement, we quickly move to where we can view the Harmonist Tree of Life from a distance of approximately 6 meters (20 feet) and repeat the following mantra 4 times (once for each Chord): "I acknowledge the world outside of myself!". The mantra should not be soft nor screamed with harsh intent but be spoken boldly and with conviction to project our resonance into the cosmos. It can take much practice to find the proper tonality. Generally, it would be much louder than normal speaking tone, without devolving into a shrill yell. As the practitioner develops their voice, they will find that their World Acknowledge grows in volume over time.
Rest Days
Moment of Service
Rest days provide an opportune time to engage in selfless service to others. You should work with your Guide to best define what these types of activities are, but generally may involve volunteering in your local community, teaching a class, visiting with elders, reading to those that are differently sighted, or serving Harmonism itself as either clergy or lay leaders.
Those in federal, state, or local government (excepting political appointees), education, public services, or non-profit organizations complete their service commitments through their normal work. However, many find additional contentment can be achieved through further selfless service outside their daily work.

Chord of Equilibrium
Daily
Mid-Day Feast Ritual
Around mid-day (or between the breakfast and dinner meals for shift workers), a full pause should be taken. A clean, balanced meal should be prepared fresh personally by the practitioner. This must be done while free from distractions. The ritual is an intentional and disciplined pause from the chaos of the day. The intent is to fully clear one's mind and achieve an effortless flow state while performing the actions to prepare the practitioner's personal feast. This should also use fresh, healthy ingredients and not include foods produced by an industrial or commercial kitchen.
Mindful Meditation
About halfway between the Mid-Day Feast Ritual and dinner, the Mindful Meditation should be performed. The intent is to clear one's mind again and achieve a flow state of effortless control through the preparation of Ceremonial Matcha Tea (Green tea is an acceptable substitute for learning practitioners). Once the tea has been prepared and a sense of peace has been achieved, the practitioner performs an introspective meditation - looking within oneself to sense the Hen en Pasi and understand the interconnection between life and the universe.

Chord of Evolution
Work Days
Focus Journey
We show our faithful commitment to our personal and collective journeys through daily movement. For 20-30 minutes of each of the 4-6 hours centered around our mid-day meal, we engage in walking (or alternative movement if differently abled). This should be done as a walking-work-meditation using a walking desk, unless otherwise directed by your physician. This not only represents the core faith of our beliefs but also helps focus our minds on the co-completed tasks of our day.
Note: World Acknowledgements are waypoints and, therefore, those on a Focus Journey can take a momentary detour and pause to properly conduct the World Acknowledgement.
Rest Days
Recovery Voyage
On days of rest, we still remain active, but we direct that motion towards clearing our minds of stress and personal recovery. The specifics of how best to achieve this will vary from practitioner to practitioner. You should work with your Guide to develop a cohesive program, but generally would involve sports, athletic activities, as well as creative or intellectual hobbies and activities requiring movement (such as painting a canvas while standing or visiting a museum). If you find yourself at a computer on rest days, then the Focus Journey should be performed at least 20 minutes of every hour.
